I have already done research in Biometrics and Medical Image Analysis, but I love to learn about new areas and algorithms of Computer Vision and Machine Learning. I'm presently expanding my experience about Deep Learning and Convolutional Neural Networks. As an individual, you’ll find me creative, organized and naturally passionate. I was hired as a Tech Lead of the new Machine Learning Team to leverage the application of Machine Learnig and Deep Learning in the company's project and goals.

My work involves the creation and improvement of solutions by application of Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques. Since I have started working here, I have already finished more than 10 projects with Machine Learning and Deep Learning, including classifiers, regressors, detectors, and segmenters.
The main goal of my PhD is to develop a Multitask Learning-based approach to ISO/IEC 19794-5 standard using Deep Learning.
The main goal of my MSc was to develop a new multi-biometric classification and authentication system for high-resolution images of palm prints and hand geometry. For this, a new database with high-resolution images (5184 x 3456 pixels with 16 bits/band) was built and it will be available soon for all the academic community. A Genetic Algorithm based approach was applied for parameter optimization.
I started to work with Digital Image Processing since the second year of my graduate degree. Then, I have performed two years of scientific work in biometrics paid by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq in Brazil), which is one of the largest research agencies in Brazil. My experience in biometrics sparked my interest for research and prepared me for my MSc. I was also recognized as the second best student in my graduating class.
